I had no problem with Lux. He sucks for attack but he can at least tank for your companion (I chose the magic elf girl for damage dealing). The boss battles require a couple minutes of DBZ style powering up.

Doesn't make the storyline any better, but Valsu would have been a better starting character. He heals and he buffs before you can get the runes. Get a fighter partner and buff and heal, and you'll rarely die unexpectedly. At a high level he gets Elixir - heals all HP and MP. Makes the end of the game easier. THe storyline still sucks, but its easier to get through, and I never got betrayed using him. The other characters are all beatable with him (difficultly so), but beatable. Just use all buffs, keep healed and hope you dodge so you don't have to keep healing.

I just play it for the challenges, storyline fun always takes me to the FF games (except for VIII - What the hecks the history of this Ultimecia, where the heck did she even come from).

This game is fucking absurd. I've played maybe fifteen minutes of it before I wanted to hang myself.

At least this gamer can write. P'raps he should be composing story lines for RPG's rather than spend a decade fighting one. Anyhow, I know a dude older than this kid who has yet to beat the original Mario Brothers!
